Three Cheers

Kate is a living script of what princessing in modern times means and looks like.

Some of the most read stories over the last weekend were undoubtedly the ones around Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge’s first wedding anniversary. Most magazines devoted generous space to the royal couple and thier year in matrimony, some talked about the evolution of Kate’s fashion personality. In some ways, and perhaps oddly enough despite the intimidating comparisons to her stylish mother-in-law,Kate has become our Lady Diana. Without being a mirror image of the famous and controversial Diana,Kate is a living script of what princessing in modern times means and looks like. Both as a reality in life and as a persona. She is empathetic without toppling over in faux warmth, she is naturally charming, dresses up admirably and elegantly without any big fashion blunder so far,is young and refreshingly steers clear of snobbishness that her new royalty could have endangered her with. The story that I loved last weekend though is the 10 most lavish weddings ever in time magazine http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/04/27/the-10-most-lavish-weddings-ever/ Take a look and don’t miss the fact that the wedding image used for Vanisha Mittal (daughter of steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal) and Amit Ahuja is not of the bride and groom but is an outside view of Chateau Vaux le Vicomte off Paris, where the two were wed. Whew!
