It is a film about Facebook and its founders.

Based on the book,The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich, the film proves that you don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies.

On a fall night in 2003,Harvard undergraduate and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room, soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication.

Six years and 500 million friends later,Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history, but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.

David Fincher says: In some ways, the film is an age-old story. It highlights how a group of people set off to do the right thing and how they eventually decide they wont complete the journey together.
