This case is being heard by a court in Nashik after the Special MCOCA court in Mumbai dropped the stringent MCOCA provisions in July last year.

Sadhvi Pragya Singh Chandrapal singh Thakur aka Swami Purnachetanand Giri

Former ABVP member and the founder of Jai Vande Mataram Jankalyan Samiti,she was the first to be arrested,on October 23 last year. She supplied her LML Freedom bike and two confidantes,Ramji and Sandeep Dange,for the job of planting the bomb. She is charged with participating in conspiracy meetings,including the Bhopal meeting on April 11/ 12,2008 where the conspiracy was hatched. Evidence includes a statement by a witness who was present in Ujjain when she spoke about the blast.

Lt Col Prasad Shrikanth Purohitaka Balwant Rao,Shreyak Ranadive

Purohit was serving at Panchmarhi at the time of the arrest. He is alleged to be the founder of Abhinav Bharat,floated on February 2,2007,to propagate a separate Hindu Rashtra. His is charged with raising funds to the tune of Rs 21 lakh,against the rules of the Armed Forces. He took finances from Abhinav Bharat for procuring hand grenades and was responsible for organising entry pass to Deolali Military Camp for an accused.

Sudhakar Udayaban Dhar Dwivedi aka Dayanand Pandey,Swami Amrutanand Devoir,Shakaracharya Sharada Sarvagya Peeth

He is charged with attending all the conspiracy meetings,and is said to have highlighted atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits as a platform for revenge in his speeches. He was in the habit of secretly videotaping the conspiracy meetings. The recordings were saved in his laptop,which was seized by the ATS. He directed Purohit on certain transactions.

Rakesh Dattatraya Dhawade

An arms curator,he has two chargesheets against him in two earlier blasts of 2003. It was on this basis that MCOCA could be applied in the Malegaon blast case. Dhawade was associated with Abhinav Bharat. He is an expert in assembling IEDs. He is charged with sourcing explosives,four imported firearms,196 live cartridges.

Sameer Sharad Kulkarni

The media publicist for Abhinav Bharat,Kulkarnis cellphone SMS records show that he was told by Purohit to go into hiding after the blast. He is charged with being one of the two Chanakyas or thinkers of the group.

Sudhakar Omkarnath Chaturvedi

He was the second Chanakya. The ATS found one detonator and samples of explosives in his house.

Shivnarayan Gopalsingh Kalsangra

He is related to the bomb planter Ramji Kalsangra. The ATS found two timers at his residence.

Shyam Bavarlal Sahu

The owner of a mobile store,he is charged with supplying SIM cards to the group. The ATS is using his 400-minute telephonic conversations with the Sadhvi as part of the MCOCA chargesheet.

Ramesh Shivji Upadhyay

A retired Army Major and working president of Abhinav Bharat,he allegedly attended conspiracy meetings.

Ajay Raja Eknath Rahirkar

The treasurer of Abhinav Bharat is charged with controlling the finances and procuring Rs 10 lakh for the group.

Jagdish Chintaman Mhatre

He was the last in the chain for sourcing weapons; the ATS recovered two imported firearms with 15 live cartridges from this Dombivali resident.

Three bomb planters have been named as wanted: Ramchandra Gopalsingh Kalsangra,Sandeep Vishwas Dange,Pravin Mutalik.
