Anil Ambani8217;s Reliance Communications stock managed to trim its initial losses and ended the day down by 4.88 per cent at Rs 153.90 on the BSE,after the company said it was not involved in 2G spectrum allocation scam.
Similarly,shares of realty player Unitech closed at Rs 71.20,down 4.24 per cent,amid the company saying that its telecom arm had received licences after complying with guidelines prescribed by the Telecom Ministry.
RCom settled at Rs 154,down 4.67 per cent on NSE,while Unitech plunged 4.24 per cent to Rs 71.20.
Meanwhile,the BSE Sensex finished the session with a gain of 65.50 points at 19,930.64.
Nervous investors sold heavily,leading to fall in RCom shares which tanked 10.13 per cent to touch a low of Rs 145.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The stock was the worst performer among the frontline scrips.
