Hit-and-run case
The prosecution recently moved an application before the Bandra magistrate court seeking enhancement of charges against actor Salman Khan in the 2002 Bandra hit-and- run case.The prosecution has sought permission to apply IPCs Section 304 II,which is triable in a Sessions Court with a maximum punishment of 10 years. Salman is currently booked under section 304 A for rash and negligent act that attracts a maximum punishment of two years.

Work-cum-pleasure
Katrina Kaif,who was in Bhubaneshwar to launch a local news channel recently, took the opportunity to visit Puri beach and the Sun Temple in Konark in Orissa as also Udaigiri and Khandgiri caves. She even picked up some traditional handicrafts as gifts for her friends and family.

In the limelight
Vidya Balan stole the spotlight at the 2011 Indian Film Festival: Bollywood amp; Beyond held in Sydney,Melbourne,Adelaide and Auckland where her films were screened during the 10-day festival,with No One Killed Jessica being the opening film. She was even honoured by Robert Doyle,Mayor of Melbourne and met Matt Preston,a renowned food critic and judge of Masterchef Australia for brunch at Iceberg Bistro. He even gifted her a recipe book.

Unwell
Producer Boney Kapoor was hospitalised after he complained of acute pain in his lower back. He was admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai where an MRI scan was conducted. Boney was undergoing physiotherapy earlier because of his pain.
