Poll-hit RJD seeks Oppn unity

A month after the crushing defeat in the Assembly polls,Lalu Prasad-led RJD started its two-day review meeting,hinting at bigger Opposition unity.

A month after the crushing defeat in the Assembly polls,Lalu Prasad-led RJD on Tuesday started its two-day review meeting,hinting at bigger Opposition unity. Lalu Prasad has chosen to deliver the concluding speech on Wednesday. On Tuesday,senior party leader and Vaishali MP Raghuvansh Prasad Singh said how RJD could still hit back,as the ruling NDA has got only 39 per cent votes despite its grand tally of 206 out of 243 seats. Singh,who had spoken about need for alliance with the Congress before polls,said that the Opposition parties have to stand united against the NDA. Asked if meant also Congress,Singh said: Yes,I mean the Congress,Left and others.
