PMO leaks worry ministers

Taking a cue from Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad,who recently complained about selective leakages of communications between the Prime Ministers Office PMO and different ministries,some more ministers have approached Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to complain about the same. Upset by a distorted and motivated leakage of one such communication from his ministry to the PMO,a senior minister even went to 10,Janpath to apprise Congress president Sonia Gandhi of malicious leakages. What has muddied the waters is the allegations that these leakages showed the PMO getting embroiled in carrying forward intra-party rivalries and factionalism. Given how assiduously the Prime Minister has kept himself and his office away from his partys factional politics,such allegations from senior ministers in the UPA governments second term appear disturbing.
