We often think of celebrities and imagine complex diets with fancy ingredients. But Raveena Tandon keeps it honest, grounded, and refreshingly simple. Her daily food routine is full of comforting habits.
“I start my morning with haldi paani. Hamare farm se organic haldi aati hai jo hum log hi uga rahe hain. Pehle toh garam paani mein woh peeti hoon.”
This simple yet powerful start to the day comes with science-backed wellness, too. According to Kanikka Malhotra, consultant dietician and diabetes educator, “Haldi pani, especially when made with home-grown turmeric, is rich in curcumin. It helps reduce inflammation, boosts immunity, supports digestion, and gives your skin a healthy glow. Home-grown haldi only enhances these benefits, offering pure antioxidants straight from your garden to your glass.”
After that, it’s time for chai. “Uske baad meri adrak ki chai aati hai. Phir uske saath mein apna toast kha leti hoon aur ek fruit kha leti hoon. Phir chahe agar kabhi anda kha liya ya kuch for protein,” Raveena said.
She keeps her mornings light but nourishing, with tea, toast, fruit, and maybe an egg for protein.
Around mid-morning, she often craves a little something again:
“Phir do ghante ke baad 11:30 baje tak wapas bhookh lagti hai toh main anar ya koi fruit kha leti hoon. I love fruit. Grapes bhi. Log kehte hain grapes nahi khao, banana nahi khao woh fattening hai… yaar fattening kuch nahi hai. Jo natural hai aapke body ke liye sahi proportions mein sab accha hai. Aap excess kuch bhi khao toh woh aapke body ko lag sakta hai.”
Her philosophy? Eat what’s natural and enjoy it in the right amounts. And she’s not wrong. Fruits, even grapes and bananas, offer real nutrition when eaten in balance.
Lunch is simple and homemade: “Jo bhi daal, sabzi, roti bani… I’m very happy with that.”
Between meals, Raveena turns to light, wholesome snacks: “Kahi chana ya moongfali, ya kurmura, makhane. Main 90s se makhane kha rahi hoon. Aajkal makhana bada trend ho gaya hai.”
As evening rolls in, her home fills with the smell of fresh soup—something they make daily. “7 baje soup… roz soup banta hai. Mushroom, doodhi, ya tamatar. Raat ka dinner bahut light hota hai. Not very heavy,” she said.
Whether it’s the love for fruit, the ritual of turmeric water, or her old-school affection for makhana, Raveena’s diet shows that health isn’t always about cutting-edge trends. Sometimes, it’s just about consistency, knowing what works for your body, and staying close to the basics.
