An Indian tourist was allegedly beaten up by a group of transgender women in Thailand’s Pattaya after a dispute allegedly over an unpaid sex service fee, according to a local media report.

In the viral video from December 27, three transgender women are seen thrashing the 52-year-old man with slippers. When he reportedly refused to pay the amount requested and attempted to leave the area in a car, the situation escalated.

The transgender woman accused him of refusing payment. He was then allegedly kicked and beaten before emergency responders intervened.

According to a report by Thaiger, the man suffered injuries to his face and the back of his head. He received first aid at the scene and was later taken to Pattamakun Hospital for further treatment.

The video has sparked a wave of reactions, with several users slamming the Indian man for his alleged misconduct. “Indians out here getting beat by Thai people. Weakest race on the planet,” a user wrote. “Did he take the “services” & refused to pay? If yes, then nationality is a moot point,” another user commented.

“He tried to re-negotiate the price, after service was rendered. The most Indian thing ever,” a third user reacted.

A Thai eyewitness told rescue workers that he saw the man arguing with a transgender sex worker near the entrance of the popular Walking Street area. The witness said the argument turned physical, with both parties allegedly chasing and hitting each other before others joined in, resulting in a group assault.

According to the report, the witness further claimed that the dispute occurred because the Indian tourist allegedly did not pay the full amount agreed upon for sexual services. Thai police said they plan to ask the man to file a formal complaint once he has fully recovered.

A detailed investigation is underway, the report added.

Pattaya, a major tourist destination, has seen similar incidents in the past. According to Thaiger, an Indian man was attacked in September by a transgender sex worker after he allegedly touched her inappropriately. In another incident in October, three Thai transgender women reportedly assaulted two Indian nationals at a hotel in Pattaya and fled with valuables worth around 24,000 baht (approximately Rs 69,000).
