Black pepper and jeera prices fell further by up to Rs 800 per quintal here today due to weak demand against fresh arrivals.
Black pepper prices fell by Rs 800 to settle at Rs 31,000-31,600 per quintal on weak demand and the beginning of arrivals of the new season crop in spot markets. Jeera common and jeera best quality also declined by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 14,300-14,400 and Rs 17,400-17,900 per quintal,respectively,on expectation rise in production.
