Milenge Milenge

This is pre-2006 Himesh Reshammiya refurbished by himself to appeal to 2010 music lovers and audiences.

T-Series,Rs 145
This is pre-2006 Himesh Reshammiya the film was delayed by four years refurbished by himself to appeal to 2010 music lovers and audiences. But though the score has a welcome dominance of Alka Yagnik, it does not really work. Kuch to baaki hai Himesh is just okay, and the title-track Alka-Jayesh Gandhi and Tum chain ho Sonu-Alka pass muster.

Shri Shirdi Sai Aarti Sangraha
Saregama,Rs 49
Shailendra Bharttis valiant efforts at reproducing the aartis, mantras and other holy chants recited and sung from dawn to night at Shirdi Sai Baba Temple are compromised by some excessive orchestration as well as his clearly non-Maharashtrian diction. However, the effort must be praised as a pioneering step in transporting Babas devotees into the portals of the shrine as they listen to the album.

Khatta Meetha
T-Series,Rs 145
Pritams score for the latest Priyadarshan film remains as functional as that of any comedy nowadays. Nanachi taang Kunal Ganjawala has a catchy riff and some words in Marathi, and Shehzad Roys Bullshit composed by Shani adds to the Marathi lyrics and tenor in a very rock-pop way along with Aila re aila by Daler Mehndi and Kalpana Patowary. KK-Sunidhis Sajde, like the score,is as routine as they come.

Lamhaa
T-Series,Rs 145
The hype along with the curioisty-inducing Kashmiri word Madno in the track of that name may generate some passing interest, but the album lacks both lasting appeal and creative calibre. The rock sound vitiates the sensitivity needed for the in-depth musical requirement of the film. The only song that neither offends nor induces monotony is Zameen-o-aasmaan Kshitij Tarey. And Salaam zindagi Arun Daga-Mohd.Irfan is well-sung,thats all.
