Lalu denies role in fodder scam

Former Bihar CM and RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Tuesday appeared before a special CBI court in connection with a fodder scam case and denied charges against him. All charges against me are false. CBI implicated me on bogus grounds, he said. When the Judge asked about the charge that he facilitated the fraudulent withdrawal from the treasury by accused B N Sharma,the then District Animal Husbandry Department Officer of Chaibasa,Lalu replied in the negative.

He also denied having received hospitality and air travel expenses from Sharma,saying,Bihar government had its own aeroplane and helicopter.
