Kingfisher will continue flying: Mallya

I have briefed the secretary on revival and restart plans: Vijay Mallaya

Kingfisher chief Vijay Mallya 8212; who has kept himself away from any interaction the aviation ministry officials ever since the recent crisis emerged 8212; on Tuesday made it clear that the carrier will continue flying.

8220;Problems will be faced and hurdles would be crossed,8221; Mallya said after meeting the civil aviation secretary K N Srivastava and Airports Authority of India8217;s AAI chairman VP Agarwal on Tuesday.

He was in the Capital to share the revival plans of the airline.

8220;I have briefed the secretary on revival and restart plans. The plan is going to be comprehensive,8221; he said,without divulging any detail of the revival plan.

On reports that AAI may take back hangers from Kingfisher,Mallya refused to comment.

On the recent comment of Virgin Atlantic promoter Richard Branson that 8220;many entrepreneurs would have run away under such circumstances8221;,the Kingfisher chief said that 8220;he was thankful to Branson for such comment.

8220;At least someone is trying to keep the airline afloat,8221; he said.
