HC seeks info on steps post-scam

The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court on Monday asked the state government to submit information on the action taken regarding allegations of irregularities in the implementation of the National Rural Health Mission NRHM in UP.

A Bench passed the order on a PIL filed by a local journalist,demanding an inquiry by the CBI or an independent agency into NRHM affairs.

The petitioners counsel Akhilesh Kalra said the police were in a haste to submit the charge-sheet in the financial anomalies that came to light during the investigation of the murder of former CMO Dr B P Singh.

The Courts has listed the matter for hearing on July 25.
