Gujarat CM Narendra Modi termed the CBI demand for shifting the Sohrabuddin case out of the state an insult to Gujarats judicial system that will not be tolerated any longer. He alleged that the Centre was treating Gujarat as a enemy territory and not as a part of the Indian Union.

Do you not consider the state as a part of India, questioned Modi who has stepped up his rhetoric in public meetings ever since former state Home Minister Amit Shahs arrest. Launching the Worlds Greenest City drive of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation here at the Gujarat University Convention Centre on Saturday,Modi wondered if the transfer of such cases would lead to closure of courts in Gujarat rendering judges and lawyers jobless and leading to the shutdown of law colleges. I can tolerate an attack on myself but wont tolerate it if the judiciary in Gujarat is attacked, this makes my blood boil, he thundered amid hysteric applause from students. I am here in politics to fulfil your desires of finishing off terror, he told the audience.

There is an attempt to pollute the environment of Gujarat. This is an insult of the judicial system of Gujarat..its judges..its lawyers, Modi said. They are trying to malign my name for the last eight years. But now they have started maligning the judicial system of the state. I will not tolerate this. They can attack me but why the judicial system? Modi asked. Have I done anything wrong by arresting the accused of Ahmedabad blasts. Why am I being stopped from fighting terrorism? he asked.

Modi told students he needed their help in fighting the injustices meted out to Gujarat and that the position of Chief Minister was a small thing for him.
