English not the only means of progress, says RSS chief

Rajnath had on Friday said that the spread of English had "hurt Indian culture"

After Rajnath Singh’s English-bashing,RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat Saturday said it is an “illusion” that English is the only means of progress.

“It is an illusion that English is the only means of progress. It is not true,” Bhagwat said at the inauguration of a Daya Prakash Saraswati Vidya Mandir school building. “True education is to develop feeling and dedication for the nation. Scoring 90 to 100 per cent marks alone does not reflect merit. Children should have participation in all fields. Parents should not pressure their children.”

Rajnath had on Friday said that the spread of English had “hurt Indian culture”.
