Dantewada massacre

The anti-Naxal strategy is a flop strategy. Somebody has picked up the strategy from some book and forced it down on the paramilitary forces who are obedient servants and never object to what is thrust on them.

A flop strategy

The anti-Naxal strategy is a flop strategy. Somebody has picked up the strategy from some book and forced it down on the paramilitary forces who are obedient servants and never object to what is thrust on them. You are sending 100 people in a forested area where the terrain is not known to them very well. Up to four days, they are sitting ducks. The anti-landmine vehicle used by the forces in the Naxal-affected regions is a death trap. Everyone in the vehicle,if it is a mine attack, will die either because of the explosion or when he comes out of the vehicle in the ambush.

Forces complacent

Both the CRPF and the local police have been complacent. Ambush on such a big scale normally does not happen unless you are very very negligent and very very complacent about your movement. You have not taken the precautions which are required to be taken while operating in such areas. If they were ambushed from both sides,if IEDs were blown up,obviously there has been a lack of intelligence and the local police cannot escape responsibility. New battalions are being raised,at the same time proper training of the men, their equipment, communication, vehicle all that has not gone alongside. The government has raised the extra battalions at a break neck speed.

Inhuman act

It was an inhuman, shameless and cowardice act. The government, society and the countrymen will unitedly fight the violence unleashed by the extremists, who have exceeded all limits. The Naxals have revealed their true colours with this violent act.

Tragic incident

Those who do not believe in the law of the land and indulge in such terrible crime should be firmly dealt with. What has happened today in Chhattisgarh is a sad and tragic incident.

Sorrowful

It is a very sorrowful incident. So many innocent CRPF jawans and other security personnel have lost their lives. We are deeply shocked. We convey our condolences to the bereaved families.

No blame game

We strongly condemn the attack. It proves the need for coordinated effort between the Centre and concerned states. It shows we cant really get into a blame game on this issue.
