Cong: Country eager to have Rahul as PM

The Congress Wednesday said though the party has not decided about its PM candidate,there was a clamour for somebody from Gandhi-Nehru family to become PM since 1989.

Asked whether the Congress has decided on Rahul Gandhi as its PM candidate for the next general election,AICC spokesperson Raj Babbar,at a media briefing,said,Its not a question of having made him the PM candidate. The country is demanding that. As far as the person about whom you are talking,this country is demanding since 1989 that a member from Gandhi family becomes the Prime Minister of the country.
