Singer-composer Arijit Singh never fails to surprise his fans during his concerts by performing songs he hasn’t sung before and giving them his own unique rendition. Recently, Singh delighted audiences when he sang Saiyaara, one of the most popular Hindi songs of the year, originally performed by Faheem Abdullah.

Performing at the Etihad Arena on December 19, Singh treated fans to the title track of the film, starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday. Capturing the moment on her phone, concertgoer Gehna Ahuja shared the video on Instagram with a text overlay that read, “Pls stop everything, Arijit just sang Saiyaara for us.”

“All 5 hours of his concert were worth it,” read the caption of her post. It further added, “Arijit Singh, you’re magical and will always be my top listened-to artist every single year.”

In the video, Singh can be seen singing the hook lines of the song with minimal instrumentation in the background. Towards the end, he adds his own subtle twist to the track. The clip also captures the electrifying atmosphere at the venue, with attendees singing along and many recording the special moment on their phones.

What makes the video even more special is that Faheem Abdullah himself reacted to it. In the comments section, he wrote, “Ladies and gentlemen, Him,” accompanied by a heart emoji.

The performance also drew several reactions from netizens. One user commented, “I am not crying, YOU are crying.” Another wrote, “Arijit’s voice is always very soulful to hear, but this song needed Faheem’s touch. Indeed, Faheem’s voice did justice to it. That said, we’d love to hear Arijit’s full version.”

A third user added, “So basically, this calmed my nervous system,” while another remarked, “It’s amazing, but the original hits so different.”
