Theres been a huge shift in the channel positioning last week with Colors slipping to the third and Zee elevating to second position. Star Plus continues to be the numero uno with 319 GRPs. Zee has delivered 260 GRPs,while Colors is marginally behind with 258 GRPs. That,however,hasnt deterred Ashvini Yardi,Programming Head,Colors who when contacted,said,The GEC space is a three-way battle and the ratings can tilt in favour of any of the top three players at different times. What will matter is who will consistently stretch its leadership position over a period of time. We are confident of our fresh and different concepts to achieve that for us. Pitaah on SonyWe were the first publication to report that Sony Entertainment Television will soon have a serial set against the backdrop of coal mines. Swastik Pictures,that had earlier produced Amber Dhara,will be producing this new show,whose name has now been fixed as Pitaah. It will depict the trials and tribulations of labourers working in a coal-mine and will be launched some time after the IPL. The show is the brainchild of creative director Siddharth Tewary and has been written by Virendra Sahani,who is also the writer of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Zee. Lets see if Sahani can re-create the magic of Agle Janam. and help Sony reclaim its glory with Pitaah! Gunjan,Samrat of Miley Jab. to host dance showVaibhavi Merchant has been signed on as the third judge alongwith Shilpa Shetty and Arshad Warsi in Zara Nachke Dikha. Sanaya Irani aka Gunjan and Mohit Sehgal aka Samrat,the two lead actors of Miley Jab Hum Tum will be hosting the show. Zara Nachke Dikha is a dance reality show with TV stars where guys are pitted against girls. The show is scheduled to be aired from May 1 at 9 pm.
