Ramans condition remains serious
KOLKATA: The condition of Vijay Raman,Special DG,CRPF,deteriorated on Tuesday after he was taken out of ICU and shifted to the ward. His blood pressure shot up after he was taken out of the ICU. Doctors at the Apollo Gleneagles,where he is admitted,took him back to the ICU. He is under observation at present. He was admitted to Apollo Gleneagles on Sunday after he suffered a cerebral attack.
Torture of OBC boy: Accused surrenders
PATNA: The husband of the mukhiya in a Vaishali village surrendered before the police on Tuesday. He has been charged with mercilessly beating up an OBC boy by hanging him upside down,accusing him of a rape attempt. Shambhu Sharan Roy,husband of Mansurpur Halaiya panchayat mukhiya Sangita Devi,surrendered before the Katahara outpost under the Garaual police station. Roys surrender led to the arrest of his three accomplices in the alleged act.
India trying for safe return of its pilot
NEW DELHI: India is in touch with the government of Democratic Republic of Congo to secure the safe release of an Indian pilot who was kidnapped by Congolese rebels recently. According to an official release,Syed Mazher,anIndian national working as a pilot with a private airlines in Democratic Republic of Congo DRC,was taken hostage on July 24 this year by rebels at Kitambe,about 25 km north of Walikale in North Kivu province of the African country.
Accused of rape,MLA frames victim kin
LUCKNOW: A Badaun court in UP has ordered registration of a case against BSP MLA Yogendra Sagar,who is wanted in a case of rape,and eight others for framing family members of the rape victim in a false case of gangrape in order to exert pressure on the family to withdraw the charges. The order was passed on an application moved by victims father,who alleged that the police had framed his sons in the false case at the MLAs behest.
