Prakash Jhas set demolished

The set of Prakash Jhas Aarakshan erected in Bhopal was demolished by the local authorities following an order by the District Magistrates office. Patchwork scenes with Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan were scheduled to be shot on the set.

Prakash Jha Productions had taken land on lease from the Minal Residency Group,not realising that it was disputed property,and the film was shot from January to March.

Book on Meena Kumari

Late Meena Kumars stepson Shandar Amrohi is all set to bring out a book on the yesteryear actress which is to be written by Barkha Roy,sister of actress Reena Roy. Tentatively titled Nowhere To Somewhere,it will give a detailed encounter of Shandars experience with Meena Kumari,to whom he was very close. Roy plans to complete the book within two months.

Aadesh Shrivastava bereaved

Chitresh Srivastava,composer Aadesh Srivastavas elder brother, met with a car accident near Chicago and died on the spot. Chitresh,who was singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khans manager for the last few years,had gone on a tour with the singer.
