Alemao blames Kamat

Goa8217;s former PWD minister Churchill Alemao who lost the elections to a former football player from his club has accused outgoing chief minister Digamber Kamat of working against him and his family.

Alemao,his brother and urban development minister Joaquim Alemao,his daughter Valanka and nephew Yuri lost the Assembly elections. People have not rejected us,the CM targeted us. Ten days before the elections,our police cover was changed. A man working for him offered money to my supporters to switch sides, claimed Alemao.

Alemao said it was not possible for the BJP to win 21 seats on its own in Goa. On charges of family raj,Alemao said his relatives were all winning candidates.

When asked why Kamat would act against his own party colleague,Alemao alleged that perhaps having four members of his family as MLAs would have hurt Kamats chances of being the Congresss chief ministerial candidate. He said if the party leadership had removed Kamat from the CMs post,they would have performed better.
