Adarsh: the rally ammo to target Congress

Narendra Modi and other central and state party leaders raised controversial Adarsh Commission report rejected by Prithviraj Chavan government.

At a BJP rally here Sunday,Narendra Modi and half-a-dozen other central and state party leaders raised the controversial Adarsh Commission report rejected by the Prithviraj Chavan government.

Party president Rajnath Singh said,Instead of taking action against those guilty, they have protected them by dismissing the report.

BJP general secretary incharge of Maharashtra Rajiv Pratap Rudy said: Even after 48 hours of its rejection the ruling Congress and NCP have not come forward to give any convincing reply for their policy decision. The underlying message is pressure from Congress and NCP leaders and ministers forced Chavan to reject the report against his wishes. What is shocking is both centre and state Congress have decided to use the anti-corruption plank to enhance image.

Party state president Devendra Fadnavis said,Cabinet consensus to reject the report cannot be an explanation. The government owes people an explanation for not taking action against those found guilty of bending rules to strike a deal to acquire flats in the Adarsh project. Now,we wonder what Mr Clean Chief Minister Chavan has to say on corruption.
