PUNE, Feb 28: Vincentian Old Boys Association VOBA lost to Shivajians A8217; 3-0, while Roopali SC defeated Youth Club, Khadakwasala with a solitary goal in the PDFA first division league encounters at the Military ground, Ghorpuri, today.

Shivajians A8217; got the first breakthrough in the 26th minute. Thon Paw knocked the ball home after receiving a short through pass from Kunal Chakranarayan.

Later, Roopali SC stunned Youth Club, Khadakwasala, with a second-half goal. Having Amar Thapa under the bar for Youth Club was a boon for he brought out at least half a dozen good saves. The goal came ten minutes into the second session. Santosh Joshi sent in an aerial medium range attempt from the right which lobbed twice and sailed into the goal.

The Youth Club defence waited for the lob rather than charge ahead and thwart the attempt. Yellow cards were shown to Ajay Chorge of Youth Club and Roopali SC8217;s Sameer Bhagwat and Ashwin Mancherkar. The league matches will be shifted back to their earlier venue, the AFK ground, Kirkee.
