Veterans cricket

MUMBAI, April 28: Former Indian batsman Sandeep Patil and touch-artist Roy Dias Sri Lanka will be the main attractions in the forthcoming Veterans five-match one-day series from May 2-10.

Madan Lal, Syed Kirmani and Karsan Ghavri are among the members of the Indian team while the Lankan squad comprises well-known yesteryear players Sidhath Wettimuny, Somachandra de Silva, Asantha de Mel and Romesh Ratnayake. The rival team lists were released at a press conference here last night by the series organisers 8211; the Veterans Cricket Association of India.

The schedule: May 2: Jodhpur; May 4: Jaipur; May 7: Mumbai; May 9: Mumbai; May 10: Rasayani near Mumbai.
