Vaiko, TNM chief granted bail

MDMK General Secretary Vaiko and Tamil Nationalist Movement leader Nedumaran, who were arrested for defying a ban on a rally to condole the death of slain LTTE leader S P Tamilselvam, were on Friday granted bail by a court here.

On November 12, they were apprehended along with 260 party workers for holding a rally in the state Capital and publicly condoling the death of the LTTE leader, who was killed in an air strike by the Sri Lankan Air Force on November 2.
