Cop killed
A constable riding a scooter, died on the spot, when a tempo hit his vehicle, the police said adding that the accused fled the scene immediately. According to the Pandesara police, Rajendra Bhavsar, a constable at the Pandesara police station, died when he was knocked down by a tempo GJ 5 T 1241 driven by Girdhari Rambahadur Pande, at an underbridge near Jalaramnagar on Sunday night. A case under sections 304 a, 337 and 279 of the IPC as well as sections 177, 135 and 184 have been registered against Pande and efforts are on to nab him, the police said.

Cop suicide
VADODARA:
Virendrasingh Pratapsingh Rathore, a constable posted at the Fatehgunj police station, committed suicide by consuming poisonous chemicals on Friday night. The Fatehgunj police, who registered a case in this connection, said that the constable committed suicide at his residence in Juna Padra.
