Assault on delegates flayed
Secretary of the Congress party in the Vadodara Municipal Corporation I D Patel has flayed the alleged attack by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists on delegates of a christian convention organised by the Alpha Missionary Movement. In a statement on Monday, Patel said the government should have provided enough protection to the delegates.

No assembly
The city police has issued orders banning assembly of four or more than four people and holding of any public meeting without police permission within the jurisdiction of Vadodara Commissionerate with immediate effect. The ban will remain in force till November 15.

Bus services
Rashtriya Janata Party councillor Ashwin Thakore has criticised the State Transport authorities for their alleged step-motherly attitude towards Karelibaug area. In a statement on Monday, Thakore said as the ST authorities have cancelled several bus routes to the area.

Sculptors8217; camp
An All-India Sculptors8217; Camp was inaugurated on Monday at the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited, Jhanor-Gandhar. Organised under the stewardship of internationally reputed sculptor Nagji Patel, the month-long camp will be attended by sculptors across the country.
