Senate member backs out
One of the members of the M S University Senate, who had signed a letter seeking requisition of a meeting, has in a letter to Vice-Chancellor Anil Kane said he would like to withdraw his name. However, when contacted, Kane refused to disclose the member8217;s name.

MSU elections
The last day for campaigning for those in the fray for the posts of the university general secretary and the vice-president of the MSU is Wednesday, as elections for these posts will be held on Thursday.

Contest winners
Siddhant Shukla and Vivek of the Don Bosco High School won the Rotating Trophy in the inter-school debate competition organised recently by the Baroda High School, Alkapuri and the Regional Chapter of Indian Science Congress Association. Shukla also bagged the best debater prize. While the topics of the debate were Science vs Arts to Enrich Our Lifestyle8217; and Computers Our Masters 8211; Yes or No8217;, six of the total 13 schools qualified for the finals.
