Bank workers to stage rally today in city
Members of various bank employees associations will stage a rally on Friday to protest against various government schemes, including privatisation. According to a statement issued by the Local Banks Employees8217; Coordination Committee, members of various organisations including the two main fora 8212; the All-India Bank Employees8217; Association and the Bank Employees8217; Federation of India 8212; will take part in the agitation. The rally will begin from Badamadi Baug and pass through Dandia Bazaar, before concluding at Lakdi Pol, where a meeting will be held.

Best stall award
Manikchand has won the Best Stall Award at the India International Trade Fair IITF held recently at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The 48 square metre stall, designed on the theme Manikchand More Than a Brand Name8217;, was organised in the food and health care division. The stall was designed and produced by city-based agency Integra Advertising.

Inauguration
Mayor Bharti Vyas on Thursday inaugurated the South zone office of ward number 4. The new office will employ 89 VMC officials. Only the East and North offices of the ward now remain to be open.

Payments given
Responding to Tuesday8217;s stir by the employees of the Airports Authority of India AAI, the regional headquarters, AAI, Mumbai, released the due payments on Wednesday night. The agitating staff had also gheraoed Vadodara senior aerodrome officer for the same a day before. The senior aerodrome officer N K Sinha told Express Newsline that the staffers had now been pacified with the immediate release of their payments.
