UT order on kerosene

CHANDIGARH, Aug 27: The UT Administration has amended the Punjab Kerosene Dealers Licensing Order, 1966, by which no person or firm or its representative shall store or sell or have in his or its possession PDS kerosene blue dyed other than for domestic purpose, as specified in the said order, unless he or they hold a valid licence or document issued by the competent authority.

According to a statement issued here, the order has also empowered the Assistant Food and Supplies Officer and Inspectors, Food and Supplies to enter/inspect any depot or business premises, vehicle, animal carrying the PDS kerosene and seize the same, where they believe or suspect that any of the provisions of the licensing order is being violated or contravened.
