Two killed over land feud

SOLAPUR, Nov 8: A man and a son were killed while three others of the family were seriously injured in an armed attack by a group of fifteen over a land feud at Nandeshwar village of Mangalvedha taluka early this morning. The police have registered offences against the 15 persons in this connection.

The victims were identified as Balu Murlidhar Dange 50, and his son Nagnath 20 who died instantaneously after the attack carried out at around 2.30 a.m. Balu Dange8217;s wife Manda 40, son Kiran 18, and his brother Ankush Dange received grievous injuries.

The attack was reportedly planned by Tatoba Khandu Gore and his family members residing at Gavdewadi. No one came to the rescue of the Dange family who were fast asleep at their house located in the farm. Pandharpur sub-divisional police officer of Pandharpur Sunil Kolhe has visited the spot. The Gore family wanted a road for their use through the Dange farm.
