Two killed in road mishaps

PUNE, Nov 15: Two persons were killed on the spot in two separate road mishaps in Pune and its rural utskirts since yesterday. Five-year- old Pappu Balasaheb Undre was killed when a tempo knocked him down at Bhivri village in Haveli taluka on Saturday.

Pappu was walking down along with his uncle when the tempo heading toward Shirur ran over him, Loni Kalbhor police said. Tempo driver Satosh Gavne 20 from Shrigonda in Ahmednagar disrict has been arrested. Earlier last evening, Pravin Roshanlal Gupta 22 of Ganesh Nagar area of Yerawada was killed on the spot when a truck brushed aside his scooter near the Supreme Petrol Pump at Pimpri .Gupta was heading toward Pune when the truck coming in the same direction dashed against his scooter.
