CALCUTTA, January 16: The Trinamul Congress leader Mamata Banerjee today launched a new 10-party political front keeping out BJP with which her party failed to reach a total seat adjustment for the coming Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal.Banerjee, who announced a list of 29 candidates, categorically denied any alliance or electoral understanding with the BJP.She described the visit of Trinamul Congress leaders Pankaj Banerjee and Sobhandev Chattopadhyay to the residence of senior BJP leader Vishnukant Shastri as a ``mere courtesy call''.Although Trinamul had earlier expressed willingness to contest 28 seats, Banerjee announced names of 29 candidates, including those from Midnapur and Darjeeling, the seats which figured in the BJP list as well.Banerjee said, ``This is the first list. We might bring out a second list after January 20, depending on the political situation''.Even as Banerjee denied any pact with BJP, senior Trinamul leader Ajit Panja admitted that the party would extend support to BJP in seats where it was in a position to give a strong fight to the CPI-M.
