CHANDIGARH, Nov 1: Around 150 parents and children of Marga8217;s Global Kids Club took part in the traffic awareness programme organised at Chandigarh Traffic Park, Sector 23 today.

The programme began with the screening of two video films highlighting traffic rules and regulations. This was followed by an interaction with Amar Manchanda, Chief Traffic Warden, wherein both parents and children came up with interesting queries. Later, each family was asked to write a family pledge as to how and what they would do to make roads safer for children.

The highlight of the programme was the 8220;fakemobiles8221; game treasure hunt. The children acted as buses, cars, bicycles and pedestrians. Parents holding clue cards for the treasure hunt were spread throughout the park. It was only after collecting 24 cards that the kids were able to find the treasure. The team of the kids up to the age of 8 found the treasure first.

Kim, the co-founder of the club, said that learning by way of fun has been a creative and exemplary approach of the club. Schools desirous of organising such programmes can contact the club.
