Nov 2: Italian champions Juventus soared to the top of the Serie A8217;, Marseille earned top spot in France and Real Madrid reclaimed the summit in Spain.

Meanwhile Bayern Munich remained Germany8217;s pacesetters despite a shock defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Juventus beat Sampdoria 2-0, thanks to a goal in each half from Filipo Inzaghi, but Archrivals Inter Milan plunged into crisis after slumping to a 2-3 home defeat against Bari.

The results left Marcello Lippi8217;s men top of the table with 16 points 8212; one point clear of Fiorentina who were beaten 2-0 by Parma.

Inzhagi opened the scoring for Juventus in the 33rd minute with a sharp volley which flashed in off the post, while Angelo Di Livio lined up the striker8217;s second in the 59th minute to put the result beyond doubt.

The morale boost came at a perfect time for Juventus, who have been struggling in the European champions league and who face Athletic Bilbao in Turin on Wednesday.

By contrast, 10-man inter suffered their third consecutive leaguedefeat after a 5-3 humiliation here by Lazio and a 1-0 defeat to Juventus in Turin.

The fans responded by whistling the team off at the break and the second-half was only 50 seconds old when 21-year-old Bari striker Gianluca Zambrotta prodded a cross past Gianluca Pagliuca.

Masinga who scored the only goal here last season, had the ball in Inter8217;s net just next seven minutes later only to be ruled offside.

Gigi Simoni, who will be fighting to keep his job next week, threw on Ronaldo for Nicola Ventola in the 57th minute, having rested the Brazilian during his battle to reach match fitness.

But Masinga beat Pagliuca a second time in the 73rd minute and this time it counted.

Ronaldo won and converted a penalty in the 85th minute, but inter8217;s chances of a comeback were shattered just two minutes later when Masinga bagged his second.

Ronaldo then went on a superb 30-metre run into the Bari area before setting up an easy goal for Franceso Colonnese in injury-time, but it was all too late.

BayernMunich, who still hold a five-point lead at the top of the German table, had a man sent off as they crashed to their defeat of the season when they were beaten 1-0 at newly-prompted Eintracht Francfurt.

The defeat ended Bayern8217;s run of nine matches without defeat which included eight wins, and the pacesetters had to play the last half-an-hour one man short after Catsten Jancker was sent off.

Rivals 1860 Munich also lost. They went down 3-2 at home despite bombarding the Wolfsburg goal for most of the game.

Detlev Dammier 7, Steffen Baumgart 47 and Martin Kovacevic 86-pen scored for Wolfsburg with Marcus Schoth and Bernd Hobsch scoring in the last six minutes for the most of the game.

Third-placed Bayer Leverkusen humiliated bottom club Borussia Monchengladbach with an 8-2 away win in which Ulf Kirsten scored a first-half hat-trick.

And Hertha Berlin moved up to fourth spot with a 3-0 win over Nuremberg. In France, Bordeaux crashed to only their second defeat of the season when they were beaten3-2 at Strausbourg. It left Marseille, unbeaten in eleven matches, on top of the table after they scored a 3-1 victory over Lorient.

Bordeaux staged a plucky recovery after trailing 2-0 at half-time but goals from Kaba Diawara and Johan Micoud were not enough.

Strausberg who had only scored twice at home before the match, sealed their victory. Thanks to two opportunistic efforts by Lionel Rouxel and a stunning 25-yard free kick from Teddy Bertin.

Real Madrid stormed to the top in Spain with a 5-1 win away thrashing of bottom club Extremadura.

Mallorca, who were top at the start of the weekend8217;s matches, conceded first place when they drew 1-1 away to Deporivo La Courna.

Real8217;s old rivals Barcelona moved into third spot when they scored a 4-1 win over Real Sociedad.

Croatia8217;s Robert Jarni, Brazil8217;s Savio, Heirro from the spot, plus Croatian Davor Suker and Clarrence Seedroff of Holland were all on target for Real.

Mallorca8217;s Biagini put them ahead in the 37th minute, but Brazilian Djalminhaequalised for Deportivo in the 43rd minute from the penalty spot.

For Barcelona Rivaldo and Anderson both scored twice after Sociedad had taken a shock 24th minute lead through Kovacevic.
