Indian judoka Tombi Khumujam Devi8217;s Beijing campaign lasted only two and a half minutes as she was knocked out in the preliminary round of the women8217;s 48kg event on Saturday. The Manipuri judoka was outmaneuvered by Ana Hormigo of Portugal.

Sejwal fails to qualify

Swimmer Sandeep Sejwal failed to make it to the semi-finals of the men8217;s 100m breaststroke event. Sejwal finished second in Heat 3, but his timing of 1:02.19s was not enough. The India finished 0.39s behind Daniel Velez of Puerto Rico.
