Students to gherao CM

PATIALA, Jan 4: The Joint Action Committee of students of the Punjabi University today reiterated that the committee will gherao the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on January 19 to seek his intervention in the fee hike.

Convenor of the committee, Surinder Singh Ghumana, said they would would depute the cadres for different types of activities. He alleged the university authorities were working under a conspiracy to make education costlier, so that students hailing from middle-class families could not avail of the education easily.
