About seventy T Y BSc statistics students have, in a signed letter to the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, complained of losing precious time during their examination on May 12 as the examiners took their time distributing exam booklets. The students allege that the centre, Dalmia College, Goregaon, gave them one booklet along with a question paper ten whole minutes after their exam had started at 3 pm, and that no invigilator was present in the first ten minutes.
The students claim the centre has violated exam rules stipulating that answer booklets be distributed ten minutes before the exam and question papers as soon as the exam starts. The second booklet also arrived late, because of which students lost another five minutes . 8220;We lost a good 25 minutes, by which time we could have answered some more questions which add up to more than one percent,8221; said a Mithibai student. Said VC Snehalata Deshmukh: 8220;We will talk to the principal and then decide on the matter8221;.
