SYDNEY, FEBRUARY 14: Sydney Olympic officials are promising plenty of fun and games this September but they are not the only ones.

The city’s legalised sex industry is gearing up to cash in on the hundreds of thousands of foreign visitors.

Maria McMahon, manager of the government-supported Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP), said prostitutes from other Australian states and abroad are expected to be brought in to help meet the demand. “There is no doubt extra sex workers will have to be brought in. The estimated 10,000 workers in New South Wales will not be able to cope,” said McMahon.

South African prostitute Cindy Vanstone has already arrived in the city, six months before the start of the games, on a student visa. “I am a student of sex,” laughed the 23-year-old who has already got herself a job with one of Sydney’s biggest brothels.
