Statement of accounts distributed

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 21: The Annual Statement of Accounts were today distributed at a function held at the office of Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Punjab, today. CBT member, A.D.Nagpal, presided over the function and gave annual statement of accounts for the year 1998-99 and also gave pension papers to the pensioners.

On the occasion, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Punjab and UT, M.L.Meena, highlighted the various steps being taken for speedy settlement of claims. quot;A system of computerised acknowledgement of claims has been introduced in all the offices of Punjab region whereby computerised acknowledgements are given to the claimant,quot; said M.L.Meena.

Meena said that it had been decided to issue all Issuable Annual Statement of Accounts by September 30.

A.D.Nagpal said that improvements should be brought in the working as it8217;s a social security scheme for workers.
