
MURRAYFIELD, OCT 11: South Africa8217;s virtual second string team made hard work of overcoming a courageous Spanish side 47-3 in their Group A match here.
The win all but booked their place in the quarter-finals.
Despite the pundits forecasting 100 points at least for South Africa it was 30 minutes before the Springboks got on the scoreboard when full-back Breyton Paulse made a clever break before slipping the ball to captain Andre Voss who crawled over after losing his footing just short of the line.

POOL A: South Africa 6 points from two games, Scotland and Uruguay 4 from 2 and Spain 2 from 2.
POOL B: New Zealand 6 from 2, England and Tonga 4 from 2, Italy 2 from 2.
POOL C: Fiji and France 6 points from 2 games each, Canada and Namibia 2 from 2.
POOL D: Wales 6 from 2, Samoa and Argentina 4 from 2, Japan 2 from 2.
