NEW DELHI, September 24: Springdales School, Pusa Road shocked Delhi Public School, Mathura Road 1-0 in a pool H match of 13th Limca Soccer Tournament at DPS, Mathura Road here today. The all-important goal was scored by Kashif Mohammed in the first half.

Springdales boys, who lost their opening match to Apex Public School, were under pressure throughout the match but seized the only opportunity of the match to collect full points from their match. The match-winner came in the 17th minute when Kashif Mohammed shot the ball home. DPS boys dominated the match but failed to translate their superiorty into goals. This was the first loss for the DPS who now take on formidable Apex School in the last match.

General Raj School, Hauz Khas defeated Sawan Public School by a solitary goal scored by Jayant Sarin. General Raj have six points from two outings.

At Modern School ground, Vasant Valley School topped pool C defeating Vidhan Chandra School 3-1.

Jasmeet Singh Kochar and S. K. Appachu 2 were the goal-getters. For Vidhan Chandra, Vivek Gihde reduced the margin. Both teams have made it to the knockout grade.

Vinay Nagar Bengali School kept their qualifying chances alive with a 3-1 win over Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan in pool D. Nitin Sarkar scored a brace while Swaraj Sarkar scored the other goal. Anurag Singh scored the lone goal for Springdales. Vinay Nagar Bengali finished their league programme with four points from three matches. Springdales lost all the three matches.

Army Public School, Ridge Road scored their third consecutive win to top pool E with nine points. They beat Tagore International School, East of Kailash 4-0 in their last pool match. Substitute Rahul Rana scored the first two goals while Sunil Chetri and Vibhu Mehta scored a goal each.
