CYG concluded on a colourful note as Nivedita Saboo embodied culture with a resplendent fashion show
All is well that ends well and the Commonwealth Youth Games were almost accurate here with a host of enchanting activities around to mark its concluding ceremony. The most shimmering of them was the evening at Ishanya that had the creme de la creme of the city enjoy a variety of cultural programmes, fashion shows, art displays and laser shows.
It was tussle of performances between Sudarshan Chakraborty8217;s dance troupe Sapphire and Nivedita Saboo8217;s fashion cherubs.
Designer Nivedita Saboo embodied couture and culture with the resplendent fashion show by the queens of ramp walking on a backdrop of water fountains and laser illumination ensembling various patterns. 8220;The collection is a shift from the games to the festive season however I have kept the CYG colours in mind and created colourful couture. It has been breathtaking with a confluence of my show, dances and entertainment coming together to congratulate the gaming spirits,8221; adds Nivedita Saboo
Sapphire presented vigorous shifts and fiery moves dancing on themes of fire and water. And the models paced and posed to the formations of choreographer Achla Sachdev.
The queens of ramp, including Aditi Govitrikar, Anupama Verma, Bunty Grewal, Pooja Chopra, Vidut Jamwal, Meghna Kawale and Rosie Nicholson looked stunning with traditional wears. They mesmerised the guests with sequences such as Resplendent Swayamvar, 80s revisited and Shimmer Forever.
