Sonawane bags singles title

PUNE, Aug 27: Manoj Sonawane of Bank of Baroda lifted the men’s singles title in the Reserve Bank of India organised Inter-Bank Carrom championship, defeating State Bank of India’s Iqbal Shaikh 25-19, 25-24 in the final held at the RBI’s Club, today.

Meanwhile, State Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra entered in the semi-final round of the team championship from the Group A’ gaining 17 and 14 points respectively. While from the Group B’, Bank of Baroda and NABARD, earning 14 points each made their way into the last four.
