The four-member experimental hard rock band from Pune, Silver, is basking in their victory of the country8217;s longest running rock competition Independence Rock. As a part of their five-city tour, this group of 20-somethings performed a set at Cafeacute; Morrison on Thursday evening that had a mix of their originals and a cover like AC/DC8217;s Big gun. 8220;We are an experimental band and love to incorporate sounds of every genre including the Indian and western classical as well as jazz. It feels nice to play to a variety of an audience across cities, and it helps getting an honest feedback,8221; says Rishi Rai, bassist of the band, which was the Indian representation at this year8217;s Asian Beat8212;a South Asian rock competition for amateur band8212;held in Taiwan, among bands from Indonesia, Malaysia and Hong Kong. 8220;Interacting with musicians from different countries broadens your horizons not just about music but about its dynamics as well,8221; says Rai, who was most impressed with the band from Malaysia that belted out a hard rock act in their traditional costume. Although next on their list is recording an album, Rai confirms that they8217;ll wait till a good record deal comes by.
