Supermodel Milind Soman makes his big-screen debut in a mystery film with a mammoth cast. He does want to attract much attention till he8217;s comfortable with the medium8230;
He admits this is a big jump, from television to film. quot;You realise the difference between both mediums through the treatment given to the execution of a subject,quot; he says, trying to sound like he8217;s got everything figured out perfectly. quot;On the small screen, only time matters 8212; you have to complete a certain number of episodes every day. Nobody really bothers about the quality so much,quot; he elaborates. As far as film is concerned, the drop-dead good-looking model insists that it8217;s probably a simpler medium than television quot;because there8217;s a lot more care taken, and you have more time to prepare for your role.quot;
Clearly, he is enjoying his stint at movie acting. quot;I8217;ve got two more films lined up,quot; he says. One, is a romance titled Pyar Ki Dhun which also features two new girls from London. The other, is a semi-animated film called Bhagmati where he is once again pitted with Tabu. quot;It8217;s about the love between Kutb Shahi and Bhagmati, the dancer,quot; Milind says. Then, he mentions, quot;Tabu and I play students of literature and history.quot;
Meanwhile, the clotheshorse also has two highly popular television serials currently on air: Noorjehan and Deewarein. Is he going to have to give up on his television assignments so he can take up more film offers? He ponders for a moment8230; quot;I8217;m enjoying films for the moment, and whoever wants to sign me is welcome,quot; he says matter-of-factly. He refuses to take names of film-makers he has aspired to work with. quot;I8217;m willing to work with anyone,quot; he hisses.
Interestingly, Milind is amused when you ask him if acting has any deeper meaning in his life. He steers clear of using words like quot;creative satisfactionquot; and quot;inner joyquot;. A refreshing change from the typical Bollywood brigade. quot;I8217;m just having fun,quot; he volunteers.
Didn8217;t we say he8217;s an actor by default?
