Nandu Sonawane of Mahindra Sintered notched a comfortable 25-4, 25-8 win against Sudhakar Chavan of 512 Amry Base Workshop to lift the Industrial Soprts Association (ISA) organised inter-industrial carrom championship for the second consicutive year.

Nandu Sonawane earlier defeated Vilas Gaikwad of SKF 26-10, 26-10 in the semi-final. While Sudhakar Chavan had to struggle before overpowering Prasad Bhurekar of Sandvik Asia 25-19, 25-14.

R K Nageshkar of Kurup Industries and former Maharashtra Ranji player Milind Gunjal gave away the prizes.

Sharjeel Imam has filed an interim bail plea to contest the Bihar assembly elections as an independent candidate while being in Tihar Jail for his alleged involvement in the 2020 Delhi riots. He claims to have no political party support and his younger brother is the only one helping him. The Delhi Police Special Cell has accused him of radical and communal activities.
