Summer coaching camp

  • Fatima Sports Club will be organising a summer sports coaching camp for junior under-16 boys and girls at Fatima High School Sports Complex, Vidyavihar from April 11- May 10 in athletics, basketball, football and hockey.

    • The camp will be held on all days except on Sundays. It is the 15th successive year of the camp and will also have State level and NIS coaches imparting training. They are; Athletics: Raj Kumar; Basketball: G Parmeswaran, Sukhvinder Singh; Football: Noel Cross, KP Krishnan, Deepak Shah; Hockey: Varinder Singh, Zakar Killedar.

    For application forms contact Varinder Singh at Fatima High School sports Director8217;s office between 9.00-11.30 a.m. latest by April 9.

    All-India kabaddi tournament

  • MD Sports Club will be organising an All-India Level A8217; Grade Kabaddi tournament from May 2-6 at the Worli Sports Club ground, Adarsh Nagar, Worli, Mumbai.

    • A total of 20 men and 16 womens8217; teams will be participating in the national event. Cashprizes of Rs 51,000 for the winners, Rs 31,000 for the runner-up and Rs 11,000 each for the semi-finalists, will be in contention. Special prizes for Daily Best Player 5,000, Best Defender and Best Attacker 10,000 each, and Best All-Rounder 15,000 will also be awarded.

    YC Shield semis from March 28

  • The Young Comrade Shield cricket tournament semi-finals between National vs Shivaji Park Youngsters and Shivaji Park Gymkhana vs Karnataka will be held at the National CC ground and Shivaji Park, respectively, on March 28 and 29.

    • The matches will commence at 2.15 p.m. on Saturday and 9.30 a.m. on Sunday.
